Dinasti Politik dalam Konteks Demokrasi Lokal (Studi Keberlanjutan Politik Dinasti Kerry Saiful Konggoasa pada Pemilihan Kepala Daerah Kabupaten Konawe Tahun 2024)

Abstract

This article aims to determine how sustainable the politics of the Kerry Konggoasa dynasty will
be in the 2024 Konawe Regency Regional Head Election. This research uses political capital
theory which consists of economic capital and social capital. Meanwhile, the data collection
techniques used were distributing questionnaires, interviews, and literature studies with data
analysis techniques which consisted of three stages, namely data reduction, data presentation
and drawing conclusions. The research results found that Kerry Konngoasa's family politics
succeeded in including his wife and two children in legislative institutions at various levels such
as the DPR RI, and DPRD Southeast Sulawesi in 2019. Furthermore, in the 2024 simultaneous
elections, the potential for continuity of Kerry Konggoasa's political dynasty through his
children is open to the opportunity to fight again. The emergence of family politics can be seen
from three dominant perspectives, namely the weakness of political parties, the presence of
Strong Man, and the legacy of popularity from previous leaders. However, there are core
resources that political experts have missed regarding family politics in forming family politics
by looking at the use of political capital, economic capital, and social capital owned by Kerry
Konggoasa's family politics in the simultaneous Regional Head Elections in 2024.
