Abstract

This article describes the political participation of the community in Lalolae Village in the
Simultaneous Regional Head Election in 2020. This study uses a quantitative descriptive method,
which is research that develops or analyzes a research result. The data collected comes from the
results of direct interviews with the people of Lalolae Village. The results of this study found that in
the form of political participation in the aspect of voting 73.60% of respondents strongly agreed,
23.60% of respondents agreed, 2.40% of respondents disagreed and 0.40% of respondents strongly
disagreed. Aspects of participating in political discussions 22.40% of respondents stated strongly
agree, 72.80% of respondents agreed and 4.80% of respondents said they did not agree. While in
the aspect of participating in political campaigns, 12.80% of respondents stated strongly agree,
77.20% of respondents agreed, and 10.00% of respondents stated strongly disagree. Thus, the
average respondent stated that the most dominant political participation in the 2020 Regional
Head election in Lalolae Village was the aspect of participating in a political campaign, which
amounted to 77.20% agreeing. The results of this study also show that the political participation of
the people in the Lalolae Village in the 2020 simultaneous Regional Head Elections is included in
the good category.
