Abstract

This study aims to analyze village head leadership techniques in improving employee performance at the Baruga Village Head Office, Baruga District, Kendari City. The research uses qualitative methods with a descriptive approach through in-depth interviews with 15 informants consisting of 11 village office employees and 4 community members. The results show that the Baruga Village Head applies five main leadership techniques: being a role model, delegation, effective communication, motivation, and problem solving. The application of these techniques has a significant impact on improving employee performance in four dimensions: productivity, service quality, responsiveness, and responsibility. Leadership oriented towards community service and supported by exemplary leadership has created a positive and productive work culture. This research contributes to the development of leadership theory at the village government level and provides practical implications for improving the performance of civil servants in providing quality public services.
